Certified Nurse Assistant- CNA
Certified Nurse Assistants provide assistance with more complex medical needs including catheter care, medication assistance, personal hygiene, feeding and dressing, and they may perform other health related tasks for self-directed clients. They also provide nutritional and environmental support. CNA’s complete specialized training approved by the state of Michigan and are certified with the Michigan Department of Community Health. CNA’s provide services under the supervision of a nurse, and are registered and screened in the Professional License registry. Our CNA’s also have specialized training in provision of Home and Community Support Services (HCSS).
Home Health Aides-HHA
Home Health Aides (HHA) receive training to assist clients with their basic medical needs. They provide assistance with simple personal hygiene, feeding and dressing, and may perform other health related tasks for clients. They also provide nutritional and environmental support. HHAs complete specialized training approved by RN supervisor on staff.
Homemakers are responsible for performing household activities to maintain an environment which is safe, clean, and promotes the physical and emotional well-being of the client. Homemaker services include but are not limited to: assistance with meal preparation, care and feeding of well children, shopping, light housekeeping, and preparation of household budgets.
Housekeepers are individuals who provide assigned housekeeping duties to promote a clean, healthy environment. Housekeeping services include but are not limited to: shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
Skilled Nursing Services RN/LPN
Skilled Nursing Services (RN/LPN) are provided, as indicated by physician’s medical orders, for clients requiring any level of nursing care. All nursing services are provided by Nurses in accordance with the State of Michigan governing laws and regulations. Genesis Home Healthcare nurses provide both private duty services and skilled visits. Nurses provide a variety of services including skilled care, coordination of services and supervision of paraprofessional staff.
Case Management services include one-on-one interaction between the Case Manager and the client and/or caregiver. The Case Manager assesses the psychosocial, financial and environment needs of each client and provides interventions that address each individuals unique needs. These services include counseling, short-term therapy and community resource planning. The case manager also assists with referrals to other community resources.
